I’ve invested/wasted several hours of my life coming to terms with Football Manager 2008 (or Worldwide Soccer Manager) and have identified the following players as stars of the future:
The first grouping have the potential to be the best of the best and if you click the link on their name that will take you to a profile of how they are getting on in real life (these are still being created so bare with me) :

hi i bought mathew edwards from leeds for 56million just for fun and 5 seasons on he was my number 1 keeper and he got 31 clean sheets out of 32 and ow i am unstopabble and i keep wnning the league.

ive completed 7 seasons with arsenal and i found ,saivet, sakho, gignac from france, balotelli from inter, ozil from schalke, pjanic from serbia, and lulinha from brazil were all worldclass by the age of 22. I ALSO SOLD KARIM BENZEMA FOR 65M AFTER I BOUGHT HIM FOR 11M IN FIRST SEASON.

i played with qpr.. and both haynes for 1m.. after promotion he rich 11m.. an vith corner tactic (six yarde box) my central defender (chelenge goalceeper)scored incredible 26 goals.. andres sccoti dc, dr from venecuela…

from experence henri Saivet and Bojan are the best together in football manager also mercelo from brzil under 21 and rafael sobis from real beats there are good mercelo with the right training can be a very good st, wbl, aml in the game

try keirrison-striker, (john fleck-striker/left wing, 16yrs old, he becomes the best player in the game!), joe mattock-left back, adrien-centre mid, guiliano-right wing, ninis-right wing, raktic-centre mid, tafar-striker. these players are good and young!
try them out they won’t play bad.

I WOULD RECKOMEND DEFENETLY AARITALO AS I BOUGHT HIM FOR 90K WON PROMOTION AND SOLD HIM FOR 15 MILLION TO WEST HAM. SECONDLY STANCU IS BRILL 20 GOALS IN THE CHAMPIONSHIP AND 15 ALREADY IN THE PREM. I ALSO BOUGHT MATTOCK, TORJE, CUTHBERT, AGUILAR, BLAS PEREZ, ENYEAMA, SANTAMARIA, LANSBURY, KERRISON, BUONANOTTE AND TEO WALLCOTT. I HAVNT SIGNED SILVIO AND VINICIUS BUT THEY SEEM WICKED PLAYERS BOTH FROM BRAZIL AND WITH ALL THESE I AM 3RD IN THE PREM AFTER 1 SEASON AND ABOVE LIVERPOOL, CHELSEA AND ARSNAL.

i won the championship with west brom gt 110 points second season gt promoted and straight away won the premeirship. its is 10 games in of the 09/10 season and i am top and it is all down to wonderkids i recenty bought eros carradini on a free from parma he is 0 years old and is already gt 20 handling, 19 reflex , 18 one on one and and 17 on accelaration, kicking and commanding area ( must buy ).

Luka Modric is sick on the game. Soon as you log in, put an offer of £3.8-£4.1m and it should be accepted. Offer double his asking. He can play left mid, centre mid, left attack, centre attack. He’s quality. Mamadou Sakho’s quite good. Henri Saivet is a monster. Sidnei from Internacional is alright, it takes time for him to learn. Set his training schedule differentally, put his new position as right back and send him on loan somewhere. When he comes back he’s quality. Signed him for £2.5m for Spurs, sent him on loan to Rotherham and when he came back, he was immense. Andy Carrol is good, use him as a sole striker tho or he’ll get selfish. IF you can get him, get Alexandre Pato from Milan. He is amazing! I played Milan in a pre-season friendly and lost 6-3. Pato scored 5 of them. Also get Wagner, can’t remember what team he’s from but that’s his only name and he’s an attacking midfielder. He’s too good. Got him for £5.2m which was a bargain and a half. He’s too good. Andrei Arshavin has on and off days. I play him right attacking mid. But mostly now I just use Aaron Lennon. He’s amazing too.

Try Nicholas Barkroth in the game he’s from IFK Goteborg i’m in the 7th season and he’s scored 35 goals for me already i only signed him for 100k as well
