As we all know Football Manager 2009 (FM09) is out although we are all having issues running the the bad boy. Although it’s early days I thought it might be a good idea for us to try and identify who we think the new future wonderkids in FM09 are. I’m sure some of the wonderkids from FM08 will be there again (I’m thinking Saivet, Vela, Bojan etc) but I’m thinking we should be able to pull some new names out of the hat. That said feel free to throw in some of the old names in there but you get less kudos if you do.

the best signings at a healthy budget seems to be velosa and moutinho from sporting, camacho from athletico seems reasonable, defensively david luiz from benfica or thiago silva of fluminese, attacking mid wise juan mata of valencia is cheap usually, ballotelli is good to get on loan from inter at the start and usually a steady performer. youth wise M Sakho, saivet and Santon are great ones for the future!!!!!
love would be good and maxi rodriguez can be picked up for 16million for a player of his ability its a bargin. and marcano is also a bargin at 11million for a top class centre back
for an average mid table premiership side, gonzalo colsa from racing santander is a quality signing.. fairly old but is a consistent top performer on the game

Sergio Asenjo [GK] – Good young goalkeeper, available for 9M, almost par with Akinfeev, which costs twice as much.
D. Santon (DR/MR/AMR)- becomes brilliant after a few seasons and can be bought cheap at the beginning
Sidnei [DC] – Nothing brilliant at start, shadowed by David Luiz, quickly turns out better than him and rises to become a great defender at the age of 21+
Leo [DC] – Bought for 12M in 10/11, sold one season later for 24M to AC Milan, after raping Pato and Ca when i won vs them 3-0 for Champions quarter-finals (proceeded to win 4-0 vs juventus in semi finals)
J. Mathieu [DE/WBE] – Got him from Toulouse for 5M, won top assists award with 18 assists. Good free kick scorer.
Barboianu [DR/MR] – Real bargain, bought him in 2009/2010 for 750k from U. Craiova and next year got a transfer offer from liverpool. Got insane strength and physical ability in general.
Marouane Fellaini [DM/MC] – Bought from everton for 20M, he’s a hound in the midfield, imposing his aerial and physical ability to recover lots of balls. Also scores some goals with headers.
Witsel [MC/MR] – Bought in 09/10, for 6M, achieved highest rating over the season (around 7.40) in the year i bought him, with 19 years. Rises to become world class midfielder.
Matias Fernandez [AMC]- Awesome player, got him for 4mil and it was a bargain, after two seasons in Benfica got offers from Man Utd, barcelona, real madrid, inter for 30M upwards. Technique and creativity are his hallmarks. He also scores a lot.
Angel di Maria [AML] – Superb assists, good running and dribbling. Excellent crossing ability.
Jonh Fleck [AML/ST]- Expensive purchase (16M) from rangers, this guy is a wonderkid, and becomes world class left winger. Also plays good in the N9 position, behind the striker(s)
Marquinhos [ST] – By extreme luck, after having 10M proposals turned down, got him for 4M from Palmeiras, and two years later he’s one of the world’s top strikers. Technically gifted, he’s lacking only in aerial power, hence i play him with the following striker.
Eugene Seleznyov [ST] – Somewhat expensive (12,5M) but totally worth it. Great physical presence inside the enemy area, strong aerial power and awesome dribbling ability, scores goals out of his ass
Oscar Cardoso [ST] – When this guy shoots at goal, the opposing team trembles. Lethal finishing, shooting goals from 35+ yards frequently, he’s also a penalty marksman, having scored all the penalties in the course of 3 year’s games.
Daniel Aquino [ST]- Got him for 4M, trained him from his 18 years to become a good striker. Sold to Everton for 12M and regretted it.

luis suarez from ajax, stats are reasonable but he bangs in the goals for me. signed him at valencia, 19 goals in the league, 7 in the champions league, and he works great with david villa if you have him. also, mata from valencia is a class player, great signing.
Bartoz Salamon, great polish midfielder, on the 2nd year he’s a star.
