As we all know Football Manager 2009 (FM09) is out although we are all having issues running the the bad boy. Although it’s early days I thought it might be a good idea for us to try and identify who we think the new future wonderkids in FM09 are. I’m sure some of the wonderkids from FM08 will be there again (I’m thinking Saivet, Vela, Bojan etc) but I’m thinking we should be able to pull some new names out of the hat. That said feel free to throw in some of the old names in there but you get less kudos if you do.

Bags of potential, has scored 15 goals in 15 games for my Leeds team and im in the Championship, so you might beable to get him for teams which are not in the Prem. Fabian Delph and Jonny Howson are good players for the championship and turn bloody brilliant and get nice and pricey, so they are pretty good players if your’e tryna get into the premiership. Ben Parker is a good solid left back and hes pretty sheap. Aiden White, is a very young right back and he comes off playing wicked. Wayne Routledge is a superb player in the championship, also LuaLua and Vassel. They score goals for fun.
Marquinhos from palmeiras gets unbelievable scored 40 in 45 in prem/champs league one year! Per Cilian Skjelbred was a very good signing from rosenborg AMC. Steve Mandanda if you are after a goalkeeper as well!
Left winger – Abdou Razack Traore from rosenborg well worth signing
hugo lloris from Lyon if ur lookin for a goal keeper worth 4 million so can prob get him for 10 million 1st season, in 4th season hes worth 24 million and only conceded 12 goals whole first season.
has nobody mentioned Sergio Asenjo?! Best keeper on the game after 5 seasons.
Sebastian Boenisch, DL from Werder Bremen is not bad…

Delph from Leeds is an absolute must! stick him in your reserves for a year then introduce him slowly in 2nd season… by start of 3rd season he’s awesome! you will have silly money thrown at you by real madrid and co for this guy!

I built a young team with Everton using Yobo, Cahill and Yakubu & Baines as my ‘keep me in a respectable position so I don’t get the sack’ players for three years and I’m challenging for the title now in season 4. These are the young men in my squad.
* Fiorillo GK Sampdoria (got him for 4 mil I think) Awesome
Spence CB/RB West Ham (one million) good cover, amazing at free kicks
Kadar CB/LB Newcastle (less than a million, also good cover)
Paulo CB/RB from some Brazillian side, cost me 6 mil which isn’t cheap, but he’s bloody brilliant for me and everyone’s trying to poach him.
*Bolzoni DM from Inter, got him for 4 mil, got world class for me and starts for Italy now.
Fellaini DM/CM, already at the club and has been really good.
Răzvan Ochiroşii from Bucharest isn’t a world beater but he did a job on the left for me for two seasons getting many assists. I picked him up for 200k abnd sold him for 7 million.
Sergio Motta LM/AM. Can’t remember where I got this lad. Like Razvan he didn’t turn spectacular for me. But I got him for less than 2 mil and he became an above average premiership player. Sold him too for 7 million. Worth a buy.
*John Fleck from Rangers. I got him for around 4 million and he’s a very versatile midfielder/striker. Worth around 15 million now. A must buy.
* Foti from Udinesse, striker. This guy made the difference for me. He cost me ten million which was a gamble I thought but he’s been immense. First season he played was last season and he and Yakubu scored 25 each and left me in third in the legue and with a CL spot. Gave me money to spend and I’ve just bought a Brazillian striker called Kierrsson who has amazing stats but isn’t playing well yet and a left winger called Rossi from Juve I think who’s intense.
All these are worth a go I’d say to build a young squad and see if you can get them good. None are overly expensive either. Current team is Fiorillio, Spence, Yobo, Paulo, Baines, Bolzoni, Cahill, Arteta, Rossi, Foti and Kiersson. Bench= Howard, Kadar, Fleck, Yakubu, Fellaini.
This squad cost less then 30 mil to assemble over three years and I’m second in the league. Safe.
IGNACIO CAMACHO! HOW CAN YOU FORGET HIM! from atletico madrid, first class player, have to sign him.
Also if you are a championship club, or not a top league team, i was norwich city, and i signed Daniele Vantaggiato, he is a striker, scored 44 goals in 47 games. He got player of the season for the whole of the championship, got 10 Man of the Match’s. Great Player, must sign him.
John Fleck from Rangers, great prospect, signed him for just 3.5mil, must sign him, also a player not mentioned, VICTOR MOSES FROM CRYSTAL PALACE. He is just 17 in 1st season, you must sign him whoever you are! Great player at 17, even better in his 20′s! MUST SIGN HIM!
Also Moussa Kone, Great player, great prospect, i must sign!
Jordan Elfverson! Must sign him. only he is a very young player, 16 in 1st season, i signed him when he was 17! What a signing he was, when he was 20, i was in the prem, 23 goals in 34 games, must sign!!

Cristaldo is good when you first start and is only young, at around 21 he is the prems top scorer and puts it away practically every time. Amazing prospect.
Craig Gardner surprisingly becoms a good SOLID right back for cheap for any mid table team.
