In FM08 I choose to manage England, Chelsea and Newcastle. I like many others I love signing English wonderkids (which is crucial if you’re managing England as a country) however it seems like most of the good wonderkids in FM09 are from other countries so here is a list of some of the player who have impressed me so far on FM09 and were great on FM08;

After 4 seasons in prem won the league with birmingham now in 5th season and running away with it already won the league cup and in the semis of FA and EUROs. Cant believe only one person mentioned Bosko Jankovic probably the best player on the game, won world and european player of the year for me three years in a row even before i qualified for europe, absolute gem of a player could score from anywhere and signed him on a free after getting promoted. A Couple of stand out buys and cheap
1.T Todorov- can play anywhere across attacking midfield roles and upfront, an absolute genius with the ball at feet, and sets up more goals then anyone would probably be my best player if werent so injury prone, great stats and an average rating of over 7.5 nearly every season and all for 250k in 1st season from ascoli.
2.M Schneirderlin- 1.5m from southampton, starts devolping straight away and mr consistent for me now all attributes over 13 and is a regular in the france squad has even captained them a few times. Excellent at breaking up play and making killer passes, suitable playmaker from DM. Only downfall not the most loyal, everytime a club came in for him wanted to leave even when he had just signed new contract.
3.B Jankovic- Need i say anymore, just buy him and find out. You will find him on loan at genoa from palermo in the 1st season.

MASCIO. The onlyplayer you need, MC for less than 500k. AMAZING for anyone, in my double winning villa team at 18yrs old…23 goals in 30 games from midfield. Just have him take all set pieces, penalties, playmaker, long shots. he owns.
Up there as the best unknown player in champ/FM history….a close second to MAXIM TSIGALKO back in 01/02.

Note: i have some advices for u, if u want to play your fm 2009 with liverpool.
1. At 1st season, sell fabio aurellio to man city at 63M Pounds (it really works)
2. Use that money to buy a good player at aurellio's position (i think joe mattock was great talented young man for that position)
3. Buy a good striker to duet with torres (find the good team-mates one like tevez) and sell robbie keane at next season
4. At 2nd and 3rd season, sell your unuseful player to man. City (they wanted to buy lucas leiva on 42.5M pounds and Martin Skrtel on 42.5M)
5. Then use the big money to buy the clausul of spanish league's player (i bought messi on 45M Pounds at 3rd season)

As a Forest fan I feel the need to highlight this glaring error.
Also, Daniel Sturridge of man City, you can get him on a free at the end of the first season quite often if you're a half decent team and he's good. One for the future though. I've got him at AC Milan, my scouts reckon he'll be as good as Owen (signed for 6.25million, scored 19 goals – bargain)but I've shipped him out on loan for now.
Also, he's obvious but Lescott is ace – he defends but if you try and get him in the box for corners and aim at him then he scores loads, got two, and a cleansheet on his debut for me.
