Used very similar but had 2 wing backs instead of full backs, as you said susceptible to conceding but gives even more options going forward and also had my wingers as inside forwards but with left footer on right and vice versa on the left. awesome goals tally and it fine if youve got a top quality DM to cover/protect

tryed with cardiff won champ in 1st season and now top of the prem and unbeaten after 6 games won 5 against birmingham 3-1 bolton 2-0 arsenal 5-2 man city 3-2 and stoke 2-0 and drew to newcastle 1-1 wow its amazin an it woks brill

Do you think there is any benefit to offsetting the CM and the DCM, so that they you have a LCM and a RDCM, for instance? It seems to me that this is more realistic than having 1 CM and 1 DCM directly inline with each other.

I use this tactic alot with leeds, workds very well.

I use a similar tactic in my Fulham game, but using 3 defenders and an extra central midfielder.

The wingers definetely need finishing skills, since they get a lot of chances.
