Rights folks here are my top 5 personal favorite skins to add a little ‘razzle dazzle‘ to your Football Manager 2011 install, they are in no particular order:

How do I install my new skin?

Download the skin that you want.
Once downloaded, extract the contents using your favorite extraction tool (WinRAR etc.)
Move the extracted folder to – User(Your Name)/Documents/Sports Interactive/Football Manager 2011/skins You may need to create the skin folder
Run FM 2011, press CTRL+P to open Preferences. Click ‘Display & Sound’, set yours like below -

Once you have done that, hit Confirm or Reload Skin and wait while the files process.

FM2011 Facepacks – Megapack

As always http://fmdownloads.com/ (via the boys at sortitoutsi.net) have once again pulled an amazing collection of player faces to fill some of those gaps you’ll find where player faces are missing in the game.

The megapack gives you nearly 80,000 new cut out player faces for your copy of Football Manager and yes they do indeed work in FM 2011 as well as FM 2009 & FM 2010. If you’re a premium member over at sortitoutsi.net you can download the whole thing instantly with fantastic download speeds, if not you’ll have to download 10 different parts individually from a free site.

Anyway if you want the face packs head over to http://fmdownloads.com/ and either grab the free versions or go crazy and drop 83p a month to support the effort to pull this little lot together.

Once you have downloaded the files it’s important that you place them in:

My documents/Sports Interactive/FM11/Skins (PC)

Documents/Sports Interactive/FM11/Skins (Mac)

FM10 Facepack Graphics

Those lovely people at http://www.sortitoutsi.net/ have got together some amazing looking facepacks for Football Manager 2010 which I thought I’d point you in the direction of.

First things first, before I get bombarded with requests to install them here is how:

Unpack the ZIP/RAR file
Copy its unpacked content to folder “graphics” subfolder of your Football Manager “user data” folder eg C:\…\My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2010\graphics\ (if “graphics” folder isn’t there create it.)
For being able to see faces from installed facepacks you must have the following settings in FM 2010 Preferences:

Use Skin Cache = Off

Always Reload Skin on Confirm = On

Do that and you should be ready to rock and roll you should be ready to rock and roll.

Right now for the good stuff… You can download the facepacks via the following torrent – FM10-Faces-Megapack It’s 2.7 GB but WELL worth the effort, really adds a bit of razzle dazzle to the game.

Top 10 Skins for Football Manager 2008

Many of us spend hours and hours staring at the Football Manager 2008 (Worldwide Soocer Manager) so I always find it a good idea to install a new skin every once and a while to jazz things up a little. So here is a breakdown (my humble opinion) of the top ten skins in the game.

1) Flex 1.2

2) Turnstyle 1.8 v1.2

3) Dds 2.1

4) Siple Ultimate

5) Black-in 2 v.1.2

6) Steklo

7) Scherm v1.1

Incase V2

9) Asesino

10) Loopus

Football Manager 2008 – Facepacks, Kits, Logos & Skins

Installing new graphics in Football Manager 2008 isn’t as easy as it used to be. Here is a pretty rough guide outlining how to install the facepacks, kits, logos and skins in Football Manager 2008:

Firstly we need to create some folders. First folder is “graphics”. Go to My Documents, you will see Sports Interactive folder followed by Football Manager 2008 which were pre-created when you install the game.

C:\…\My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2008\graphics\

Installing Club/Country Kits

And now, if you wish to install Club/Country Kits, create 2 folders, “pictures” and “kits” folder in graphics folder like below:

C:\…\My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2008\graphics\pictures\kits\

Go into “kits” folder. Extract all kits files you downloaded in there. Look at the screen shot of how you can organise it.

Installing Player Pictures

As for Player Pictures, you need to create “players” folder under graphics.

C:\…\My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2008\graphics\players\

Go into “players” folder. Extract all player files you downloaded in there. Look at the screen shot of how you can organise it.

Installing Club/Competition Logos

If you wish to install small, huge logos of clubs and competitions, you may do so by creating “logos” under graphics.

C:\…\My Documents\Sports Interactive\Football Manager 2008\graphics\logos\

And in “logos” folder, take a look at the screen shot how you can organise it.

Game Settings for graphics to appear

Load your game in FM 2008, go to Preferences > Display & Sound > Untick Skin Cache

Then you should be ready to rock and roll.
